Scholarship Submittal Requirements
The student is responsible for submitting all materials on time. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.

Complete this application (attach additional sheets if necessary). Your name and address should be on all attachments. Completeness and neatness ensure your application will be evaluated appropriately.
Recent academic transcript whether it is from a high school, college, university, or trade school. COLLEGE FRESHMAN- Judges will screen and require more than 1 semester or quarter of grades. IF this applies to you, submit your high school transcript.
Essay-on a separate sheet of paper answer the following essay question: “How does the electricity provided by your electric cooperative improve the quality of life in your community?"

Applications that are hand delivered must be in one of our offices no later than 5pm on Friday, January 30, 2026.

All scholarship entries are confidential and will only be viewed by the West River Electric or Basic Electric Power Cooperative selection committee.
